Our Story

A Vision Born from Faith

Wisdom Books was founded by Del Wisdom — a lifelong entrepreneur and man of faith who, after 55 years in Washington State agriculture, felt called to open something different. Something meaningful. A Christian bookstore rooted in the heart of the Tri-Cities community.

Founder & Owner

Del Wisdom

Del grew up in Reardan, WA, attended Whitworth University, graduated from Seattle Pacific University, and studied in the doctoral program at the University of California, Santa Barbara. He owned and operated vertically integrated agricultural businesses for 55 years in the Basin City and Columbia Basin region of Washington State. Del views owning and operating a Christian bookstore as an extraordinary privilege and joy in which to serve the community.

Liz Hall

Assistant manager

Liz has lived in the Columbia Basin for most of her life. As an avid reader of both fiction and non-fiction books, Liz finds working at Wisdom Books a dream come true. Her position allows her to follow her passion for ministry, customer service, administration, and books. She homeschooled her two children and has served in various children’s ministries. She is a certified Steven’s Minister and her compassion for people is evident in all she does. We are grateful to have her on our team.

Amy Peters

Assistant manager/Bookkeeper

Amy, along with her husband and four children, lives in the Tri-Cities. She homeschooled her children for nine years and is delighted that her next step was able to be at Wisdom Books. She enjoys books, both fiction and non-fiction, coffee, and good heart-to-heart conversations. With her love for Jesus and warm friendly smile, she looks forward to helping each customer find the perfect item and hopefully send them off feeling encouraged.

Lexi Huisingh

Sales Associate

A Tri-Cities native and homeschool valedictorian, Lexi attends and serves at LifeChurch7. Having a deep love for fiction and God’s Word, she is eager to help you find the Bible that best fits your needs, as well as your next great read.

Cinthia Meraz

Sales Associate/Social Media

Originally from the Rio Grande Valley in Texas, Cynthia brings experience in retail, reception, and personal care to Wisdom Books. She is our resident Spanish speaker and helps select all of our Spanish language titles and resources — a truly invaluable part of our team.

Caitlin Gaspar

Sales Associate/Social Media

Caitlin brings a warm, welcoming spirit to Wisdom Books. A woman of deep faith and a love for literature, she delights in helping customers discover books and resources that encourage and inspire. She is a valued member of our team and a familiar face to our regular visitors.

John Kincaid

Sales Associate

John holds a B.A. in Religion from Liberty University and a Master of Theology from Methodist Theological School. An ordained Anglican priest, he serves as Rector at Christ The Redeemer Anglican Church in Kennewick. His lifelong passion is love for scripture, books, and helping others grow in faith.
